True Star Media had the honor of welcoming acclaimed filmmaker, actor, and director Robert Townsend for an afternoon of conversation, inspiration, and connection with Chicago youth pursuing careers in media and storytelling.
Townsend, known for influential works such as Hollywood Shuffle, The Five Heartbeats, The Meteor Man, and The Parent ’Hood, spent time touring the True Star Media Room and engaging directly with our youth creatives who are developing skills in film, digital media, podcasting, writing, and production.
